Elite Treasure Trails – Information on Release!
Elite Treasure Trails have been released (it’s about time, slowpokes!) but sadly, I cannot enjoy many of the items just yet due to the fact that I am free-to-play. I’ve been itching to see these items but to my surprise it wasn’t to the mass that I was expecting.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly grateful for a great update such as this one, but when they said 150+ new items, I didn’t take into consideration that they would count biscuits as decent reward items… oh well, looks like “Zar…shh!” got the better of them.
I’m really keen to see this new 3rd age Armour, it looks pretty decent… druidic seems like a creative sort of armour – only I wish it wasn’t so expensive. The different thing about this set of updates in terms of treasure trails is the fact that we now have ‘street prices’ which are a pain in the backside to work with when you really want an item.
I’m glad that the new puzzles are do-able from what I’ve been told and that the Elite Clue Scrolls aren’t just rare drops from extremely high level monsters such as Corporal Beasts, etc. I know the metal dragons will be packed for at least the next week or two, luckily I’m not a member to experience that during my slayer task. ;)

Time will only tell how prices will shape up – I really think that Dragon Masks will go up quite a lot, they look pretty cool and the street price has gone well over 100m (go figure) so it’s going to be interesting to see how this all pans out to say the least.
One thing that puzzled me a slight bit was the fact that the new rune-based god armours weren’t available in F2p – not seen many members waltzing around in rune as of late, not sure why that’s a p2p perk… let’s just hope I typo’d it in the Grand Exchange.
Have fun with the new items, I’ll be blogging up about them when I get my hands on some! :P
Player Influences – Do you play your own way?
Runescape is a weird game, plain and simple. The point of it for the majority is to impress others and ensure that you have the most bragging rights possible in-game. My question to everyone is; do you spend too much of your game time worrying about what other players think of you or doing what you think is appropriate?
I can’t stress enough that Runescape is a game, and the whole reason why the game attracted me in the first place was how open-ended it was. You can do anything you choose, and it’s a real shame to see some people literally forcing themselves to do things in the game – you don’t have to you want to. So yeah, just a short moral lesson from me to be who you want to be and do what you want to do. Runescape is much more fun that way. If you like a skill – train it; you don’t like it… don’t train it!
Setting goals for yourself is a different story, I don’t think that’s so much of an issue seeing as you’re looking for a sense of personal achievement – so don’t think I’m shunning a good portion of the Runescape population who like to keep Goals and Achievements threads! It’s just something to think about, I guess. How do you play?
