This may be the most interesting thing I have ever done on Runescape. Put aside trying out the weirdest concept in the world (dungeoneering) and you have a clan-wide water-balloon fight! Jazzy and Mandy the two Administrators of SE were leading ‘Team Goats’ while I was having fun with my gold team capes leading team kangaroo *go figure*

The Clue Scroll fiasco

It looks to me like Jagex have released another hint to their patented clue scroll update which should be released sometime tomorrow (Wednesday is update day, right?) and it looks to me like it has absolutely nothing to do with Clue Scrolls. Anyone sensing the following from Jagex?

Hello fellow Runescapeians. It seems that Guthix has not found enough balance within this month and has decided to completely forget about Clue Scrolls for now. In return for your membership payment we have released a 3-minute abstract quest with a 403gp reward. Classy! Enjoy the update just as much as we did making money off it!

Always blaming Guthix. Typical! Oh well, one can only dream.

What is Mr. Downfall up to?

Seeing as I have been a little inactive you may be asking yourself the question ‘What have you been up to?’… the real answer here is weird – because I’m sort of torn between school life and Runescape life. I’m not playing as much Runescape as I used to, but I’m getting fairly good at multitasking it with other parts of my life such as homework and assessments. I’ve learned to adapt.

I was looking for something a little AFK-able so to speak, and came across Fletching – which is a great skill (when I’m not concentrating on it!). Homework mixed with fletching seems to be a winning combination! I was a little torn between losing 6M cash and getting 99 Fletching a little faster than anticipated, but soon I lost that uneasy feeling due to the hilt drop from Saradomin GWD with Skillers Empire last week!

After making a fair amount of money I can safely say that I’m on my way to a Fletching skillcape through magic longbows, which isn’t so bad when you have clay knives. Muahahahahaha!!!

Decisions… Decisions!

Well, it would be obvious to you that I have been very distracted for a number of reasons, but regardless of that I wanted to update you on the level 99 skill that I’ve been looking to go for for a while. It’s taken me a long time to choose; not as long as the 99 after Woodcutting – but it still took long enough!

I’ve chosen Fishing officially as my next 99 goal, and I want to get it to 85 and go straight to the Living Rock Caves to make a nice profit from Rocktails :) I actually like the Fishing cape, and I think that this 99 will benefit my account a lot since I need something afk-able due to my extensive amount of homework…

As for the current situation with my Display Name… I have no comments.

Cooking could ruin your Skilling routine!

Starting off, I am now a 20th Century skiller. Sounds funny, eh? I couldn’t think of a smarter name for finally getting myself to 1,900 total, so I went with something really excruciatingly lame. I wanted to do what I’ve been doing for the past 2 skillcapes that I’ve received and round off my total on the 99 but it just didn’t cut it this time.

Regardless, it is still a big milestone for me because I am at this point in time, 97 total levels away from 2,000 overall, and that’s awesome! I feel as if I’ve come so far even though there are so many people that are so much better than me. It’s such a good feeling to know that I started off with nothing and built my way up to become at least a respectable Runescape player. I’m not exactly following-in-world-1 material just yet; but I’m getting there!

I’ve been doing a few events with Skillers Empire as of late, and one of the ones that really caught my eye was the Kalphite Queen. I’ve heard of so many people killing this boss and saying it is easy but I can officially tell you otherwise. The boss is difficult, and is definitely underrated for it’s age in terms of the game. I had to have 2 clan members who I love very much (Holymiky and Alex_Plays) to feed me Sharks and Monkfish every now and then so I can hang in there for another kill!

The Easter event won’t be out for much longer and I still don’t have any temptations to do the event. Someone please enlighten me! I’m getting so lazy on Runescape! I just can’t see the use in getting squirrel ears (well, at least I think that’s what you get…)

This week I turned to a lot of different skills in hope of liking one of them enough for me to stretch out a 99, but I just can’t find it. I tried Fishing, too slow. Tried Hunter, too much clicking. Tried Runecrafting, ’nuff said and now I just don’t know what to do. I knew that Cooking was a mistake from the start because it has made me so fussy on what 99 to pick next.

Now I finally see the logic of people that have untrimmed Cooking Skillcapes. Once you experience the easiness of cooking, there is no turning back! So beware!!! Don’t fall for it’s soft purple – it’s a Runescape motivation killer!
